my brother bought a 96 F-150 reg cab long box, 4x4, the truck has a 4.9 straight 6 and a 5 speed manual tranny. He found an older western plow off a of a 1980's bronco. Will this fit the front of the F-150

The older plow setup's are great. You can piece a system together fairly cheap. Keep your eyes open you can even find an extra blade sitting somewhere.

Use the search function on the gray line above. Search : Plowing with a manual transmission - plowing with a stick shift - charging - not enough power - duel batteries etc.
There should be a bit of reading on the subject. If he does set it up to plow. It can help you to see what you need to setup a truck to plow.

You need to know the tricks to plow with a manual transmission. If you don't you can fry the clutch the first time out. One guy fried a brand new trucks clutch the second time out with it.

The frames on Ford trucks changed in 1993 so I would think the 80's frame will not work.
Used mounts are around, you just need to find them. Part supply places like Central Parts Warehouse (link at Top) or Millsupply.com may have new truck side mounts for the 93. You find the right truck side mount all the other parts bolt or pin right on. That's the great part about the old "Classic" plows.
You can have a Meyer plow and mount with Western pump and harness.
