90 k2500 fuel gauge.

    I have a 90k2500 350, 4x4. i keep loosing my fuel gauge. i kno all about the sending units and have replaced them on other trucks before. i have never had them come and go? could it be something else? i would like to fix it before the next strom, help would be nice. thnaks in advance.

    biggest problem on the older trucks like yours is chassie ground . make sure its good and clean on frame. use a good star washer for electrical stuff. and some dielectric grease around it.

    The terminal pins in the plug connector on the back of the gage cluster get loose or oxidized also, and will cause an intermittent gage function..
