I just bought a 8'6" Western pro plow. I am wanting to put it on my 03 Chevy 2500hd Duramax. I plan on using it for the rest of the season, and then getting a new one.

Will my truck be ok? Or is the plow to big?

Western website says its for 1 ton, and not 3/4 ton.

your truck is way nose heavy already but use timbrens, crank torsion bars and add rear ballast and you'll be fine

I agree. The site says only 7'6" pro steel or poly. Timbrens, and ballast like what was said will work

i had one on an 04 and now on an o7 same truck just with the 6.0

The 2500 and 3500 both have the same front end. I have a 8'6" MVP on my 2004 Duramax. I also run the wings on the thing. You will be fine.

If you would like I will get you pictures of Salopez 2500hd with western wideout. Its 10' wide and weights 300lbs more than the 8.5' pro plus (that it replaced on his truck) Your truck will be fine, it just needs timberns.

My friend runs a 9'6" MVP Plus on his 04 2500HD Duramax. You'd be fine with a 8'6" straight blade.
