[Plow Newbie]

new to plowing....bought an 8' Ultramount Pro this winter (plow is 2 years old). Barely used.

Questions

When plow is fully raised and I'm standing beside it outside on the drivers side - should I be able to "swing" the plow from side to side with my hand ( left to right and right to left) or should it be locked in place?

When driving yesterday (40 mph) I noticed that the plow would sway to the right and then to the left when hit by wind. The plow was perfectly straight when I raised it prior to getting on the road. Plow seems to function as it should when I use the hand controller - moves up, down, left and right when I use the controller.

If I hold the down button down on handheld controller and lower all the way to ground, should the float light activate/engage?

There shouldn't be alot of movement. Could be something to do with your set up, prior owner damage, etc. i'm no expert though, but others on here are.

2 years old?....western had and issue around that time with chips in the system, might be it

I would take that back to the dealer no it should move like that
