What is your pros and cons on the EZ V plow? Does any one have one on a 2500 Diesel? I have a guy in my area that is selling one complete, that will fit my truck. I am thinking of buying it.

Have the same plow. I like the new Extreme V's a little more because you can add the option of extended wings from the factory. I think they have a little more curve to them also. As for the truck, I started w/ a '95 F250 & last year bought a new Ram 2500 Diesel to replace it. I'd recommend Timbrens on the front even though I don't have them installed yet. The plow is pretty heavy, but it handles it fine w/o any upgrades. I put airbags on the back so I can load up w/ salt

Thanks for the info. How is the speed of the hydros? Also the cutting edge if it is worn down can it be changed even though it is apart of the mold board? I was thinking of looking for a used straight blade for my truck. But i found this one, He wants $2500 for the plow mount control and wiring. He sent me 6 pictures the plowe looks mint. He says it is about a 1 1/2 old. I am thinking about this. Thanks Rich

Never used another plow, but it moves as fast as needed. The cutting edges bolt onto the trip edge, not the mold board. If you look close, you can see the seam at the lower 4 - 6". I wear mine down to where the middle rubber piece mounts inbetween the V & then replaced the cutting edges.

Buddy of mine just bought a 08 chevy 2500 duramax diesel and had a ez v installed. He has had problems with the hydraulics. The rams in the middle of the plow are spitting the hoses off. The ones that run the angle of the plow. I think the design of the rams aren't the best. The threads don't start inside the ram for 2 or 3 16ths of an inch. Then when the elbow gets screwed in, only a 1/4 of the fitting is held on. This is surprising to me because fisher is usually always good quality products. Has anyone else had these problems?

Never had a single problem in the last 4 years until this last weekend when I was backing up I got hung up on a yellow post. Later, the weld that connects the bung onto the right angle cylinder cracked & sprayed fluid everywhere. Then early this morning, the rubber piece between the blades fell off somewhere. Only to be followed by the bolts on my left blade sheared off a few hours later. When it rains it pours I guess.
