    have the option to trade a guy i work with my 7.5 unimount with his 8ft unimount...he had it on an f250 but sold it and got a dakota (who knows why) but doesnt not want to put the 8footer on there at all...so would i be pushin it puttin a commercial 8fter on a chevy 1500??

    run it on the manufacturer site. that truck, that year should be able to take up to a 8.5. i know mine can and its a 2000. it will add a little weight but not much. i actually traded DOWN in size from a 8.5.
