The plow has the 4 trip springs and shock. The plow rocks back and forth which I thought was the pivot bolt. I checked the hole and sleeve and neither are ovaled. So I got a grade 8 bolt 3/4 inch with fine thread and put a lock washer and lock nut in so it would not loosen up like it was. So after plowing tonight it was loose again? ( the bolt) Could there be something else wrong making the bolt loosen?

take a look at the c shaped bracket that the lift chain hook's to see if it is loose wear it guides the quadrant in it's angeling function .some times they bend back and allow quite a bit of flopping around .also do not use lock washer's use what they call a crown lock nut ,they tend to stay tight when there is a lot of jarring.or a castle nut with a cotter pin .
