I am getting 12-14 mpg in my 98 CK-3500 cab and chassis. Truck weighs 9500# all the time, more in the winter. With warm up and short trip driving I get 10 mpg. I do know of guys tho is p/u that get in the high teens with 3.73 gears. I have 4.10 with the auto.

You guys are getting good MPG's. My dad had a 94 C15002wd with 3.42 gears and a 4L80E,it got 15mpg on its best day, highway or city it didnt matter much.My uncle had a K2500 with 3.73,it got 14mpg average. The 6.5 beign indirect injected will not give the mpg of the direct injected diesels,no matter what you do to it.
