Is it normal for my 73K-10 to buck while turning relatively sharp in 4wd? I always wondered if there are extremes or exceptions to this condition since I thought it is supposed to be normal for older 4wd trucks.
its normal for any locked 4wd vehicle.. the radius of the turn makes the front and rear driveshafts turn at different speeds, something has to give and its usually the tires that break loose a little bit. i wouldnt do it too much, probably pretty easy to break something important..
its normal,it has to buck, and slip a tire or break something. The only 4x4's that wont buck are the full time ones with center differential, they allow the front driveshaft to turn slower in a sharp turn than the rear, preventing the bucking.
