In the middle of the storm the other day, one of the guys calls and says the fan on our 3500 silverado dump is making a grinding noise. So, he heads back to the shop and we realize that when the plow is dropped, the fan shroud shifts and starts hitting the impeller. But, when the plow is raised and the weight of the front end is forced downward, the shroud shifts back off the impeller. Anybody else ever run into this? Did the shroud somehow get warped or something?>

We need more info than that.

    What years is 3500 ?

    What kind plow is?

I am say frame have possible bent to cause it. Fan Shroud can't be warp. They are mount to front end and when frame bent it will change position of front end mount.

Does it have warranty on it?
