    what is the horsepower rating for a 1970 350 out of an impala cuz i think im gunna get one becuz the older engines definately have more horsepower.

    They have two engines listed for that year,but it does not tell me how to differentiate between the two.I would assume one would be an SS or high output version.

    One is rated at 250 HP,the other at 300.No torque figures listed in this book.

    If this motor is going into a truck,I would make sure you have the correct gearing\convertor to make this motor work.The higher HP motors make more HP in the higher RPM ranges,with less bottom end torque.Torque is what gets you moving.In a truck application,it may not have enough low end.
