Have 05 2500 HD 8' std cab with an 8.1/Allison. Timbrens, torsion bars cranked up. 8.6 western v.

Installed KYB Monomax shocks last year. They are holding up well but I am looking for something that still holds the weight but rides better. They ride a little stiffer than my liking.

Thinking maybe moving to Bilstein 5100's but a search revealed some think they ride stiff. Exactly how they compare to the KYB shocks is unknown. I would hate to blow 300.00 on shocks only to end up with the same ride I had before.

Anyone have a comparison to share?

Shocks don't carry weight, unless it's a coilover.

Why waste the money? It's a truck, not a caddy.
