Got a great deal on a 200amp alt- $190 out the door.

I have a 2gauge wire that I plan on running from the alt directly to the batt.

The current alt to battery wire goes to the fuse box through a 140a fuse and then to the battery. Can I use both, the current wire in its current configuration and then also run the 2gauge to the battery?

Does the 2guage "have" to have a 200amp inline fuse?

Does the ground wire need to be increased to 2 or 4 gauge?

Yes the wire should be fused. DB electric has a nice kit for the HO alternators install.
