It will plow great. My friend has a 2009 Dodge 2500 with a Cummins and an 8.5' Fisher on it. It handles it great.

It will push just fine, you will be overweight in the front. Search "Dodge Diesel Plow" on here. It's bee covered a lot.

I run a blizzard 8611 lo pro on my 2500 diesel and it weighs more then a straight blade. Install timbrins up front to help with the weight thou.

I had the 8.5' on last winter but that plow goes on a 2500 GM and I take the 9.5' we just bought.

You'll be fine. Mount it and push away!
