does anyone know if curtis makes a plow for an avalanche. And is so which one also do i need to change anything on the truck yes it is a 1500 1/2 ton with z71 package.

The application guide doesn't list the avalanche, but it's the same as the Sierra/Silverado pickup...

The HD 7-1/2' 3000 will be fine on that truck. Add Timbrens to your front suspension, and about 400-500 lbs of ballast in the bed BEHIND the axle, and you'll be good to go...

For the record, my truck is a 1/2 ton '98 K1500 GMC front and rear Timbrens, and that same plow setup... Works GREAT... Just make sure of a couple things... On asphalt, take your skid shoes off, or it won't backdrag for ****, on dirt better have 'em on, or your truck will be a bulldozer... Enjoy...
