I am new to this site as I am purchacing a rural property with 800 feet of driveway that will need plowing.

I am considering placing a plow on my truck so I can clear the snow in realitive comfort, rather that exposed to the elements on a tractor.

Would a plow work on a GMC 1500 that has been lifted with a 6" RCD lift and 35 inch tires, or would it destroy my IFS? Do you need a mounting kit with the lift on the truck?

I will only be doing my own driveway and not abusing it too much.

Also what type of a plow would be best for personal use?

    Thanks for your time,

Your truck will handle it fine. Maybe run some smaller tires for the winter.

    Thanks for the reply.

I am running 4.56 gears so it has power for the 35's. They are super swamper SSR's, 10" wide for good winter traction in snow, bad on ice.

Any suggestions for a plow purchace?
