Need some advice on some new exhaust. Its getting pretty rusty and I've been wanting to chop out the two mufflers anyway for that genuine diesel sound. So I figure if I'm gonna go to that I might as well go for bigger diameter. I'd like to go with stainless but you get what you pay for........anybody have any suggestions?

4 inch turbo back, 5 or 6 inch tip. I would go stainless if you plan on keeping the truck for awhile. Check out xtremediesel.com or innovativediesel.com They should have a few options for you. I would recommend MBRP Exhaust....:) :)

I have the MBRP 4' 304 stainless system with 5' tip on my 04.5 and love the sound. Noticed my EGT's were a little lower since adding the pipe.

    5" straight pipe:D

be careful on the stainless, the cheap stainless - 409 - will rust too, as well as the clamps used on some high priced systems.

the questions to ask yourself are: how loud? how big? are any serious modifications going to be in the future? price? and the whole stainless thing..
