I changed our F250 2 WD over to a 4WD. Here's a few pics.
nice was it hard to do??? and is that a boss rt1???
Nice work, what front axle did you use?
its an old western, and are those the 36" hummer tires? how much did you get the front axle for?
Right on the western and the tires. I only have about 1500.00 into it. I got the axle and transfer and all brackets off of a 96 F350 I sold for scrap. The truck has a 4.9 straight 6 in it. Had to change the rear tranny housing to the 4WD for the transfer to fit. Also had to change out the main shaft to the tranny as well. I had the rear d-shaft shortened about a foot.
The front axle is a high pinion Dana 60 out of my 96 F350.
Looks good, those 300 6's are bulletproof they don't make enough power to tear anything apart
That is very talanted, how hard was it?
that trucks awesome only good motor ford ever made
is it a zf5? e40d?
Out of curiosity is the Dana 60 a King Pin or Ball joint?
The Dana is ball joint. The tranny is a zf. I had to take the tail housing and main shaft out of my big bell housing zf and replace the ones in the small b-housing zf. Also had to cut 9/16 off the common shift rail.
a 96 f350 had ball joints? i thought that would have been kingpins
