First, this is a great site. I'm new to it, I enjoy reading the posts. I have a 05 chevy 2500 Recently, my battery light came on. Message said "Battery not charging". It would come and go. The other day my volts went from 14.5 to 2 and my dash light up like a Christmas tree. I put a new battery in it just to make it home. I waited a day, turned the truck on. got the rpm's up to about 2500. light came on again. Should I go ahead and change out the alternator? Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks any help would be great.
