i just put a MM1 on my 03' GMC Sierra 2500HD it came off of an 03' Chevy 2500hd, but i had to remove the jack and the license plate frame just to be able to hook it up to get it home. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue before and what can i do to resolve it.

the one thing i know is that the GMC's bumper does stick out more than the Chevy's

    thanks

Did you get the mount with the plow? Are you sure it came off an 03 and not an 02?

My guess is that the sales conversation went something like this:

Buyer: "Hi, I'm interested in your plow for sale. What vehicle did it come off of?"
Seller: "What vehicle do YOU have?"
    B: "An '03 Chevy 2500"
S: "That's what it came off of."

Like c said it’s probably the shorter mount for later trucks

everything came off of an 03' Chevy 2500hd, everything fit well.
but after looking at the differences between the MM! and MM2 ill just sell this one and get a MM2, unless someone else has a GMC like mine and can take a few measurement on how long their push plates stick out. or if someone can take a few pics of their push plates for me

you guys were right, i did have the shorter mounts. i think it is a GMC issue bc i have a friend with the shorter push plates on a 03' Chevy 2500HD.

thanks for the help i appreciate it, here is a pic for comparison

2003 was the break year on front ends for Chevy.

The GMC Serria 2500HD kept the same style front end from 2000-2007

i disagree with the GMC, but the main reason they dont work is from 03-07 the gmc have a slight bullnose where the 01-02 GMC/s did not.

I'm pretty sure that the only 03-07? gmc trucks that I have seen with a MM1 have had the entire center portion of the airdam removed to clear the jack leg support bracket.

my truck looks alot like the Blue 03' GMC shown and i cut below where the tow hooks were and it fits well with the longer push plates.
