    how can you tell if it has a plow prep package on it? and if it does not what should be done to make it better for a plow?

    On the mfg specs listed on the door jam you will see the FAWR i believe is what its abbreviated as. Someone please correct me if/WHEN I'm wrong lol

    The best mod is to have your local spring shop add 1 leaf to the front springs. This will raise the spring rate and also lift the front of the truck 1- 1 1/2 "

    The truck will work just fine if it doesn't have the plow prep.

    Look at the door jam sticker for the front spring code X.

    I still added a leaf on the front spings of the '04 which had the plow prep on it. Plus I added two in the rear.
