    Same here,everything done in the shop,from small stuff to doing the motors in the big cats,even alighnments on our 4 post machine.:)

    I do as much as I can because:
    a) I don't trust many mechanics
    b) why pay for what you can do?
    c) can't afford the high prices
    d) it's fullfilling
    and whenever I have to take it to amechanic I'm usually not satisfied. Seems as either something else goes wrong, or the fixed part doesn't perform how I think it should

    most of it myself sometimes in a storm i will drop it somewhere because my time is better spent elsewhere,otherwise all is done in house

    much of the time exhaust work is better at a shop ....I have found i do not save much by doing it myself
