Does anyone replace coils on their plow or the solonoid under the hood as part of a yearly pm? Plow stuff rarely breaks down during the summer - so whats the best way to keep everything up and running? Other than fluid changes and inspections?

Use Dielectric (silicone) grease (available at most auto parts stores) on all your electrical connections and the coil mounting surface areas. This will prevent any corrosion from forming thru the off season.;)

I use the grease on all connections - what do you mean by coil mounting surface? Thanks

Where the coil mounts to the manifold block and on top of the coil where the valve actuates. Corrosion can and will form anywhere there is an electrical anything happening. I do not change solinoids annually but do carry an extra in the tool box just in case:salute:
