    If it was built in 07, it's a D&D plow and ph1. That's all.

I thought it's still a predd. Is that the cut off year?

Good question, I would like to know if it's pre DD or not. Would also like to understand what changes were made, I know the newer ones have the small joy sticks and the control box using a multiplexing system.
I'm buying this one off Craig's list for 4K. Pictures look good, haven't seen it yet. Thanks for the help understanding the build year !

One more shot of the back, the only other one is of the push bar and shoe box, seems to be in good shape, any thoughts?

Don't buy that until you see it on a truck and fully functioning.

No idea on maintenance, what are the problems areas to look for on this year plow?

It's not necessarily year issues (except the early ones imo) but what was done or not done is the issues. Wings, slide box's, and the pins. All the lift arm pins.

D&D purchased blizzard in 2005. Some of the 05's are built with parts from both companies. 03-04 are arguably the best plows.

The 07 downgrades were deleting a piece of angle were the cutting edge bolts on, smaller diameter wing pins, no bracket for double wing springs and the a frames are know to crack at all the welds.

So long as you use good hardened pins in the wings and reinforce all the welds on the a frame it's not a bad plow. You'll notice many of the welds are only on one side of the joint which saved them time weight and money. The paint holds up on those much better then older ones too.

See I'm not a fan of my 03, well the hydraulics anyway. Thanks for the clarification on the years

My 03 is a bit slower, but the SPX pump is a real workhorse. My 07 I'm constantly bending stuff, the 03 can run curbs and all and never bends a thing.
