Just purchased a new xtreme v. When i went to adjust the quill, I noticed this other quill like screw. The manual has nothing . Just wondering if any one knows what it does and should it be tightened down all the way?

2 1/2 turns out from fully seated is what the manual says.

If you have made any adjustments to the pump relief I would highly suggest hooking a gauge to the test port to be sure it is set within spec.

Usually best not to mess with it on a new unit. It was set at the factory. I agree that if you do start playing with it get a test gauge. 2 1/2 turns is a starting point. Kind of like playing with mixture screws on carbs to set right you need gauges.

That is the only one I know of. Is there something different on your plow?
