    Hey guys/gals,

Looking to purchase a used dump insert for my 04 ram 3500. Short Bed. Willing to do some work to it. Just looking for something to start out with.

Let me know if anyone has one or knows someone who does.

OR....How much is a downeaster roughly for a 6 ft bed?

I don't know anyone who has one. But I have one in my truck and they are worth their weight in gold. I paid $2350.00 for my 8 foot e-zdump 4 years ago. Hope that gives you some idea.

Thanks earl. Im looking at a downeaster stainless....or possibly even the aluminum truckcraft. that thing has a huge price tag of around 4500-5000 though. I could buy a used older dump body for that amount.

anyone know where I can find a used one???

why not have youre truck bed dump like a dump truck??? I have one in my ford. Its cheaper and you dont have the worry about getting around as you do with a trailer.just thought I would give another option.

Because Im going to be dumping a lot of concrete and stone and rock....my bed wont hold up to that. A steel insert will. I would also get rid of my hopper salter and get a tailgate for the insert so i can start using bulk salt.

If I cant get a used one i'll just buy one new in the spring.
