I just removed the 12 pin light harness from a plow and put in a 9 pin. I have a 2000 K1500 and it needs the 9 pin harness. Are you sure you need the 12 pin ? I will gladly sell you the 12 pin plow light harness to help you out if that's what you want. I don't have any of the truck harness. They are still available new but they are spendy.

If you bought a used plow with a 12 pin light harness and want to use it on your 2000 GM truck you have to use a 9 pin harness and convert the plow lights like I did. Western doesn't list a 12 pin truck harness for a 2000 GM truck. I just went thru all this and ended up buying a complete wiring harness for the truck and plow new for $420 shipped to my door. There are used ones around but they usually sell for near new price too.
    Good Luck.

i didin't know that. Are there any part numbers you can send me to help me with looking or ordering the right stuff I need. Did you have to change the plow lights to along with the wiring?

No, just the wiring harness, that's how I ended up with the left over 12 pin. Now this is for a straight blade unimount. I don't know if the ultra was even available then but that harness may be different. The MVP v plow takes a different harness to.
    Truck harness complete 63392
    Plow light harness 61438
Vehicle battery cable to plow 61169
    Motor relay solenoid 56131K-2
You will still need a cable from your battery to the solenoid that costs around 8-10 bucks more. I had cable and ends here and made my own. This doesn't include the in cab controller either. Hopefully you got one with the plow. They are expensive too. You could probably find an used one on here, if you need it.
Did you get the correct mount with it ? If you need one for a K1500, find that first. They are scarce and expensive. The K2500's are more common and lower priced.

I bought all this from Equipment Specialists. There is an icon at the top of the page that will take you right to their web site.

thanks for all the info. It looks like its gonna take some work and more money to get this going. I found the push plates for a 2500 like mine and I have an extra controller form my unimount which should work with the wiring once I get it all in order.
