Was wiring up some aux rear lights tonight had intentions of using a relay jumped off of the cargo lamp button so they would go on at the same time. It seems the cargo lamp switch has power going to it all the time so when you hit the button to turn it on the power to the switch is cut off. How would I run my rear lights off of this? This is called negative switching, right?

If the light is always powered and you turn it on by providing a ground it is called low side switched. Just wire the relay low side switched, or ground activated.
