???? Wing Kit ????

    Before I call the dealer I'll ask here
    I bought a Red Steel MVP+ with wing kit

    It finally showed up today and The wings came black

    Are they painting wings one color On there web site shows them in Red
    I know The SS plows wing kits are black

    All MVP3 wings are Black. Got mime last year before they even offer SS

    I also got some last year and had them painted red. Looks much better!

    What type of paint did you use and what steps

    I hate them already and I haven't even started to assemble the plow

    I think I'm still going call and call Western They need change the photo its misleading

    I took them to my tire and wheel guy. He makes wheels and has small powder coating ability. Only problem is he didn't get good adhesion. So they're going back for another try.

    So you had them powder coated

    Well I'm out of luck no one around here does that

    I guess I'll check on Red Skin

    Powder coating is certainly the best but if they are new just scuff them with a scotch guard pad (for adhesion) and then use a red spray bomb. The original factory paid will keep them from rusting while the spray bomb will give them the color you want.
    If you want to get serious about it look around for someone who sells Endura paint. This is what we use at my shop for plows, dump truck boxes etc. It's a two part industrial paint. It's not cheap but it takes a beating.

    I've found the Western Red spray cans have held up find in the past on other rebuilds.

    Well I called today they offer Red or Black wings Order ticket said red
    They ship the wings wrong So they going ship a set of Red ones out and pick up the black ones

    Well they sent a new set and they was black to So they ship them back and my first set and Sent me another set Yep they was black to
    They called me today telling they only made them in black I told him I knew that but you said they made red They said didn't make a thing on these wings with all the freight
    But now he knows

    They shipped you 3 sets of Black wings thinking/hoping they were Red?!?
    Was that your local dealer that paid for all that shipping? OUCH!

    No I have no local dealer I bought this from internet
    First set was ship with the plow They ship me another set and pick up a set and I sent the ones back and then They sent me another set

    They was in a box and Western number in there book showed red wings
