Hi guys, I'm looking at trading trucks next year, and I really want to buy a new wideout for it. But I want to hear some feedback from those who have them and if they are on a single wheel one ton, or 3/4 ton truck and how they handle it. I have seen them in operation and they look sweet as I do large parking lots. Thanks!

Guy around here has a dually with what appears to be an 8.5' plow with wide-outs. Pretty nasting looking rig when it's all flexed out!

Burkartsplow has an xls which is fishers equivalent to the western wideout. He has it on a srw 2500hd. I would contact him and ask him some questions about his setup.

I have a wideout on my 2004 2500hd. I definitely know it's there, but with stiffer shocks, timbrens, and v-box, it handles it just fine.

I'm not trying to sound like a hardass b/c I own Blizzards, but honestly the Wideouts are quite a bit lighter duty and I don't see why any 3/4 ton truck wouldn't handle them. They're nice, don't get me wrong, but I don't think they're too much for the average 3/4.

i saw a fisher (basicialy the same thing as wide out) on what looked to be no bigger than my 1500 dodge.

you should get a rear mounted plow for that truck ur gettin too. there are some nice 16 f rear mounted ones that pull a freakin lot of snow.

While the Blizzard plows are lighter than the Wideout & XLS, they also seem to be much more problematic. Any of the 3 can be ran on a 3/4 ton truck.....but I would go the Wideout or XLS over the blizzard any day.
