I recently had a discussion with a girl who told me she needed a new car to replace her Hyundai Sonata, but "not a GM car, everyone knows they don't last."

I laughed as I buried the urge to bitchslap her.

Here is a pic of the speedo of a 2000 GMC Savana van I just took in for parts... it is the 2nd truck in the yard at the moment with this kind of mileage on it!

Wow that's unreal, and I'm worried about my 2000 Chevy 2500 with 132k. Runs great nice and solid but some breakdown causing me down time or big bucks is always in the back if my mind.

I'd rather have 400k over 90k on my Tahoe...sitting kills vehicles. Ruuusssttt.

Derek, we got a daily driver here - an '01 1500 Silverado 2wd with the 4.3 v6 and it just rolled 640,000 kms.

Been a great little truck, has had few troubles, and the body is still solid.

Not too afraid of well maintained higher mileage vehicles.

I just get awful tired of people who know nothing about cars other than where the gas goes spouting off about how much better foreign crap is. Love to see her Hyundai carry three tons of gravel....

I once had a girl tell me I needed a new truck (because the crewcab is so OLD lol 1990 is the young truck!) so her grand experience in work trucks suggested I get a Honda Ridgeline to replace my crewcab diesel dually dump truck... because she knows an electrician who says its a great work truck. She couldn't understand why I laughed at her...
