My deal on the guardian fell through. So I am gonna try the inexpensive route. What is a good quality inexpensive rotating beacon. I dont need a strobe or led. ust something simple and bright enough to be seen and not breaking the bank. I will even by used if someone has something in good shape lying around.

This site has rock bottom prices on ECCO 5800 series rotator.

Considered their lower profile beacon. Still about 5.5" tall. The various models depend whether you want single bolt mount, triple bolt mount, magnetic, vacuum magnetic. I believe this series allows you to change the flash speed by slipping the rubber band drive between 2 different cog positions which spins the reflector faster or slower.

For specifications you can see at :

If you have your mind set on the Guaridan - this site is very reasonable:

I'm not sure what deal you tried, but I got my Whelen Guardian G2P for $74.95 and it's still the same price. I got it here.

Hey I'm glad your giving Tom Parr some business... Those Guardian lights are great... If you want just a single light I would suggest a Whelen Cadet. Mag Mount 2 speeds comes with a schroud if you wanna use it on your dash. It retails for about $45 shipped. Just have to look for it since I don't have a link for one... they are on ebay also.
