which plow to buy

    hey gang,have a problem,confused between arctic 7.6 standard,western 7.6 standard or blizzard 7.6 LT.my truck is a sierra 1990 1/2 ton short box.z71.3350 lbs. front axle.appreciate the support.andre

    Recommend a plow no heavier than 550 lbs. for 1/2 tons. There fore a Blizzard 760LT fits.

    Any 7.6 will work.

    Sorry to dis-agree but any 7'6" will not do. There are 7'6" plows made for 3/4 tons that are too heavy for the 1/2 tons.

    Go with the western and a set of timbrens. I had a gmc 1/2 ton did just fine. If it were me I would not go with a plow just for 1/2 ton because you are bound to move up sooner then you think.

    well he is a Blizzard dealer so i think he would lean toward blizzard.

    I ran the plow I have on my 3/4 ton it is a 7.7 poly pro. The 1/2 did great just need timbrens. The only reason I moved up is this truck was only 30 dollars a month more and bigger is always better.
