Which hole to mount lift piston?

I thought that I once read that for full hydro set ups the piston should be bolted to the lift arm using the forward hole, and that it should be bolted to the lift arm using the rear hole for electric/hydro plows. Is that right? Went through my Meyers/Jeep manual and couldn't find it again. Thinking I might have read it on here.

Go by ram length not the lifting means. 6" ram uses the rear hole, 8" uses the front.
