possibly a stupid question.... but new to salting....
nonetheless if you have a 1.5" trigger and you get 1" of snow do you not salt then? Or would you still salt?
If you plow on average 35 times how many times would you salt?
    thanks in advance!

all just depends on your contract.....

my 1 inch triggers, nothing is done about any snow less than 1 inch, with out a call to the business, and approval. (unless they have a tendancy to just let us do it)

we salt after every storm, in some cases before the strom as well

if they want you to salt when its less than 1 inch, i would change your contract to a zero tollerance ...becasue thats really what it is

another thing to consider, the cost of salt is so high at the moment... i think if its 3/4 of an inch , we will be plowing just to save the salt useage

on ICE, almost every accounts lets us salt at will , as we see the need
