I got a fisher V New in the fall, has 4 storms on it. How do I know when to install a cutting edge?
In searching some said after the first season but never really saw anything that had a specific point like when so much is worn down.
    Thanks for any info

Usually you wait until you have the base angle worn to with in an inch or inch and a half before you bolt on a cutting edge. Just make sure to keep and eye on the points where the springs pin up to the base angle also, wear those off and you have to replace the base angle, very $$$.

pretty much what crash said, look at the bottom where the trip springs are and don't let them get worn down. This is my third season with the original edge but will probably buy a new one for next season.
