Just wondering when you guys mount your plows. I thought about mounting mine just to get some people looking to help promote some business.

I put the plows on for the winter servicing and make sure they work.
Some trucks have the blades on them till winter is over.

My tractors start getting check at the begning of Oct and are ready by Nov1st (thats when contracts start)so I'd say Oct1st are when the blowers are on.

but when I used to use plows and truck they were ready & hooked up by Oct 25

We basically started picking away at servicing trucks and plows the at the end of September and have everything done by end of october. Alot of it is going back over everything after checking it once when we are not busy with Excavation. Thats also sending trucks out for service by our Mechanic and some body work on the Salt truck.

Backup truck the blade never comes off, installed a new ExtremeV on a winter only truck so it stays on now. The Main summer trucks will get plows hooked up for testing in the next week or two. Those will come off for service on the plows and put back away until the some snow is in the long range.

12 hours before the first snow is predicted, plows, and salters go on, although this year, quite a few never came off.
  11. I usually put the whole assembly on mid october for testing, then the plow comes off until the first storm.
