Whelen Responder

    Ok guys does anyone out there have a whelen responder on a newer crewcab gmc or chevy, I want to know if it will fit on the back part of the truck where the ribs are on the roof. pics would be great. Thanks

    i have a 04 gmc crew and a sound off bar and i set mine right on the ribs and it dont move at 70mph

    Not a chev, or a whelen, but same dilemma. I bought 2 pieces of aluminum flat stock a little longer than the lightbar, bolted the lightbar to them, than the magnets out on the ends, so I effectively spread the magnets apart a little further to sit between the ribs. There is much more material to keep the bar in place between the ribs than sitting on top of them.
