whelen mini edge strobe problems

    the other nite I was wiring up my plow light and I tested the light off a 18v cordless drill batt. like a idiot and now the light wont even work so I take it I messed something up any idea what it could be now when I hook the light up to a 12v car batt it just kinda sparks at the terminals and the light does nothing

    Assumingthe strobe tubes ate still intact you probably fried the power supply.

    yeah everything inside looked fine so I prob fried something

    a new power supply for it is almost as much as I paid for the light

    I had the same problem with a whelen responder. I wanted new magnets and cable, it was damn near the price of a new one.

    I bought the light used 2 years ago for 150 and a used power supply on ebay is 100

    Check the fuse located inside the case near the power supply.

    You might have gotten lucky !

    it looked fine wasn't burnt in the middle
