    Hi all,
I have a 73 chev 3/4 ton 4 wheel drive with a 350 motor and th 350 automatic transmission. Plowing snow the other night all of a sudden it would not move when placed in 1st gear. It will still move in drive, second and reverse. I usually plow in low range as I was told that was easier on the transmission. I had noticed when moving the shift lever it sort of grates or is rough on shifting when going back into park like its dragging on a pawl or something. Fluid was about a half a quart low but I would'nt think that would cause it. Is the transmission gone or is there some way to check or diagnose what is wrong.
