whats stronger old or new ?

    I use old Fisher belt drive pumps to make log splitters if that tells you anything:D

    Like the others said, the underhood hydraulics are stronger/more powerful hydraulics, but you can't be at idle, and it's a lot more wear and tear on your truck. If you have a manual, it's a lot better setup, because you can rev it with the clutch in. In all honesty, there's no need for more hydraulic power than what the newer electric Fishers put out.
