Whats a good rate for a 8footer and my truck is a 9 footer straight blade? Last year the jobs were a per job plowing. Now the I'm looking at differnt contractor to work for this year and he wants to pay me by the hour for my 2 trucks.

    $60, but he'll want to pay $50.

Yep. Probably $50-55 for the 8, $60-65 for the 9, maybe.

So average of $60 for either.

I'd rather pay more for experience then plow size.A guy with a Dodge and 7ft Curtis plow could plow more then a guy with a 9 ft plow.

PS.he'll offer you 40 bucks,so go from there.

Experience means everything as Grandview eluded to. I wouldn't plow for less than $75/hr.
