What Y-Pipe to use?

    It's the same pipe from Walker. Doesn't matter. Yes, it will fit directly.

    Bolt right up is a whole other conversation.......

    is there one that bolts up fine? what modifications do you have to do?

    The Walker fits just like the old one. Just be prepared to deal with some very rusty and corroded fasteners. And the O2 sensors need to come out or buy new ones. I believe ther are three to deal with on that pipe.

    The "bolt right right up" was sarcasm. Nobody gets me this week :(

    It is a 4.3 or a 5.0 right?, if not, thats not the correct unit. You will have two converters with a 5.7

    yea its got 5.0 used exhaust goop it worked good then started getting loud so its finally time to replace it. its really loud now.

    I see now they have magnaflow one for $289 or walker for $333 what one to buy?

    is it leaking at the doughnut gaskets? You can grind down the 3 spacers on the flange connector on either side to take the clearance issue away if that is the case. I used to have to do that when I was working at the dealership, that was GMs fix to the doughnut gasket issue

    its rusted bad. has a big hole in it. time to replace it. I don't think it would pass inspection. so what one to buy?

    I seriously doubt if even high temperature paint would stand the heat of the converter.

    well got 2000f degree paint for it. have not painted it yet.

    $440 total for y-pipe, flanges, and 1 o2 sensor.

    after 2 trips to Tractor supply $15 in bolts none worked. finally got some to work. now its all in sounds good. brakes were horrible from sitting so long so bad truck would shake found out caliper was causing that. new $16 caliper. its all good to go for winter now.
