After reading other threads about what trucks are better and what plows are better, it got me thinking about what I've owned and where i started. Its kind of funny to think about how much I've moved up since i was 16, 16 years ago.
Here's my list of plow trucks first to current (try not to laugh too hard:laughing:)

    1976 Chevrolet K20 (rust bucket)
    old western (cable control)
    wooden flat bed

    1979 Chevrolet K5 Blazer
took the engine and plow from the 76
    (not as rusty)

    1990 Ford Bronco II
I found a 6'6" western (cable control) to put on it
had 200k on it when i bought it

1998 Gmc Sierra extended cab short box Z71
I found a used 7'6" snow way for it
I leased this one brand new

2000 Gmc Sierra 1 ton carryover body style 5.7L 4L80
stated with the snow way from the half ton and then bought a used western unimount 8'
I leased this one new also

    1991 Gmc Sonoma
    bought 680 blizzard new

1994 Chevrolet Subarban with 231k on it
I put the 8' unimount on it (but never plowed it, I only owned this truck for 1 month)

1995 Ford F250 7.3l extended cab long box
Came with a 7'6" meyer with E60 (i later added wings)
Truck was put together by someone other than ford (had half ton 2wd vin and title)

    1999 Gmc Jimmy
I put the blizzard on it (my current daily driver)

2003 Ford F250 7.3L Crew cab short box
came with boss rt3 undercarrage and bought a 7'6" poly for it

Any way, that's a list of all of my vehicles (i feel like I'm forgetting a couple) over the years, i just thought this might be a fun thread
By the way, My favorite truck was the 2000 sierra and my favorite plow is my blizzard (most trouble free I've owned)

It has a 7.6ft Western Unimount Pro with Pro Wings
And a Snowex 575 Mini Pro.

Also have a 91 S10 but it's good for nothing but gas mileage and making me look poor.

In 1986 I started plowing with a 76 F150 and a fisher 7 1/5 RD (same plow is now the HD)
1988 got a Jeep wrangler for backup, with a 6 1/2 fisher RD (Found the truck plow would

    fit the jeep) mount.
1989 sold the truck with the jeep plow, Kept the truck plow for the jeep.
1991 traded the 88 jeep for a new jeep kept the plow
1997 added a 92 Jeep to my plowing fleet (now 2 Jeeps)
1999 sold the plow Rout Plow and 92 Jeep and plow from the 91 Jeep. ( became a programmer, and for some reason they
wanted me at WORK even if it snowed.)
    2000 sold 91 jeep bought 2000 wrangler
    2000 Company got sold.
    2001 got laid off.
2004 started plowing again bought a 7 1/2 Fisher RD I contacted some of my old customers, and got back all of them
(I DID NOT CONTACT the customers that the guy I sold the rout to was plowing.)
    2008 bought a Boss 7 1/2 V
2009 Bought 2000 wrangler as a second plow vehicle (I now plow 96 drives with 2 Jeeps)

Started with a 1993 chevy 2500 (8 lug) extended cab with 7'6" unimount

    Bought a 1998 chevy 2500 regular cab (350ci 8 lug) with a 7'6" meyer

Swapped the plows, and added wings to the western.

Bought a 1961 massey ferguson 130 that I use sometimes to move piles at a lot that I do. Stacks pretty good, wish it had 4x4 hst and power steering, but we'll get there eventually

    I spoil myself a bit.

    1998 - 2004: ATV with a 48 inch Kempex
    2005: 2006 F350 with an 810
    2006: 2007 F350 with an 8611lp
    2007: same
    2008: 2009 F350 with a low pro
    2009: 2010 F350 with a low pro

I take a new truck every year, I like the free sat radio. My favorite was the 2007 though, best seats. The new style seats are not nearly as nice.

I originally started by walking my grandparents' snowblower around the neighborhood, haha. Got my first truck about 10 years ago. Everyone but the big one has been a dodge and treated me well, and each has been bigger than the last.

'87 Ram D50, 4-banger, 6.5' western unimount, had to weld up my own mount for it

'94 Dakota, 5.2 V8, 6.5' Meyer poly, hated that plow. Slow, rode over instead of digging in, snapped an angle ram mount off, etc etc. Also, I will never buy a plow again that requires you to connect hydraulic lines when it's snowing, haha. Sold the truck with 210,000 miles, no rust, had plowed its whole life, and was still going strong (aside from swapping out a busted transfer case).

'97 Ram 1500, 5.9 V8, 8'2" Boss V, upgraded to 1 ton springs up front (had the solid axle already). Also, limited slip rear end, loved that truck and plow. Sold it with 160k on it, still going strong.

'03 Ram 2500, Hemi, 8' Western unimount. Great truck, currently 115k on it, hopefully back to a v plow by next season though!

'81 International S1800, Frink (I think) 10' power angle, DT466 engine w/ air brakes. Almost bought a v-box spreader with it, but didn't have the extra cash at the time.

Gotta say, when I was a kid dreaming of this stuff, I never thought I'd actually own any of it!

Started with a 1974 f100 fulltime 4x4 with a 7 1/2 western. The truck had the power assist rams that were junk. At the time I was dirt poor (some things don't change). I plowed 25 driveways and 3 businesses with no power steering. I told the wife I was going to put plowing by armstrong on the side of the truck:dizzy: That was back in the 80's. Now I have:
    1997 f350 7.3 pwerstrke and new boss 9'2"
    1997 f350 460 with a new 8611 blizzard
    1993 k3500 6.5 td and an 810 blizzard
    1992 f350 w/351 and a 7 1/2 fischer
    1992 f250 salter
New holland 555 Skid w/7' snow bucket

    and I'm still broke!!

I don't have much yet because I still have subs that aren't in house... But my father did this in the late 70's and early 80's. He had an early 70's k20 (I believe; maybe '73) and then he had another in '77 or '78... and then he bought his first new vehicle... A 1980 F250 4x4 in red. His buddy bought the same one in black. They also had 3 70's broncos to get to that point.

Now for me... I had the pleasure of using many plows (meyer, western, boss, snowdogg) before buying my own setup. In 2001 my grandfather bought a new Z71 1500 Chevy that I bought from him in 2006 (when he got a 2007). And that is where it began for me....

-2001 Extended Cab Z71 4x4 with chain plow from Lowes (ran it from 2007-2009) and had my dad drive while I threw salt. NOW HAS AN MD75 (love it used it last year for 1/2 season)
-2010 F250 Reg Cab FX4 W/T package with VX95, Dumperdogg 6' steel insert, Stainless Spreader, black tool box, back rack, mini light bar, floods rear, work box light strip, front wrk lights, high watt reverse bulbs in tail lights, and a chocolate lab puppy and the GF in the truck< oh an my new carhartt..

Needless to say I got my money's worth in a few years of two jobs a day, every week day since I was 15. Did I mention I am only 18 now and I own a 1997 RS Camaro (60K orig. loaded), 1987 Z28 w/edel carb (140K orig. for sale), 2001 1500 (80K), 2010 F250 (600 mi.).........You should see my insurance bill every month LOL!!!! The GF is getting a truck with me and is going to be our Dayton Plow Gals division! (we're looking at a '94 F250 but she's a new driver... and I'm worried about her LOL). I am also working on getting a low mileage used duramax or cummins that is less than five years old for myself for next year. I finally have employees... and they have more years doing this than I have been alive... SO in all I feel accomplished. Working on going to OSU ATI and also securing a product line that will change the way we do things in this biz! I helped design some of the stuff.... I am also looking into securing a power and equipment line or two... Buyers if your listening I'll be done at OSU in 2012.. Same goes for the rest of you!!! haha.

I hope to build an impressive resume and equipment setup in the next 5-10 years like some of you had. I was really impressed and got a good feeling from reading this thread. Thanks to whoever started it!!!
