what tires for a 2wd 2500hd

    my brother has a 2wd 06 2500hd ext cab shortbox 245 75 16s.the truck is for his biz.and it always has 7k hearing testing trailer behind it.he looking for a good snow tire also long wearing load range e.any sugestions on a such combo.thanks

    There are a bazillion threads on this. Tires work just the same on any kind of truck. So, tires that are good for a 4wd are also good for a 2wd.

    My recommendation would be Mastercraft MSR with studs if they are legal. I would also put them on the front. Stopping and steering is important too. I run 235/85/16 in the winter. Just a bit taller and narrower than the 245/75/16.

    Goodyear just came out with a new tire in January that I have on my truck. It's the Goodyear DuraTrac. It's got the new mud and snow rating, and was designed for trailering and off road use. It's available in 245, 265, and 285 all in E load range. I would suggest 245/75R16 or 265/75R16.
