What Thrower To Use Now That The Commander's Have Been Discontinued

We were informed today that Toro is no longer producing the Commander line of single stage snow thrower. We are extremely disappointed because we found the Commander's tilting bail and 24" swath put it far above any other single stage snow thrower.

We use a Tommy Lift on our trucks to unload blowers so weight is not an issue if you are able to offer suggestions.

    Thank you for your input.

Toro is no longer manufacturing the Commander.

And yes, they were the best snow thrower ever made.

The problem was that their price put them at 2 stage price level.

We found that the Commanders were much easier to oporate than a 2 stage and threw snow and slush almost as well a 2 stage.

We are saddened by their demise.

    R.I.P. Snow Commander.

We purchased the last four remaining Commanders available in our region.

We hope to keep running Commanders for at least five more years.

They simply trump all other single stage by a wide margin. The tilting bail and larger swath are unsurpassed.

Kudos to the Commander, you will be missed.

    You Cannot Turn Trax Easily.

Trax are a Bad Idea for Residential Drives.

    Thank You.

You must be a paid salesperson for Ariens because that model if it's the rubber paddle one has to be the biggest pos out there...

    Hope you are joking??!!

The commander's are awesome! I have two and hoping to add two more on this year! By far the best lightweight single stage thrower out there! Some complain about weight but one guy can still lift it in and out of the truck.
