What salt do you use?

    What kind of salt do you use? Rock Salt? Magic Salt? Liquid? Trying to figure out if I should switch over to Magic Salt. My current prices for rock salt is $4.50 a bag while Magic Salt is $12....

    There's no way in hell Magic will melt almost 3 times the snow/ice as regular salt. Everything I've seen shows you'll see about 30% reduction in salt usage.

    If it were 4.50 and 6.00 I'd be much more tempted to try an experiment.

    Spray your stockpile down with mineral well brine and beet juice. Same concept, much cheaper

    I been using the bulk Ice Slicer salt from the port. I have been having good results with it, and I'm using less material. That's just my input.
