what model is this?

    The person that has it say's its a RT1 but Im not sure, its mounted on a 2001 f-250

    Actually it's an RT2. Circa early to mid 90's.

    since im not familer with that model, does it stay off the truck like that or does the lights still stay on the truck and the plow come off?

    the whole thing as pictured comes off the truck .

    If I was to go with this set up would it be a good idea to take it to a boss dealer and have them do a once over and replace all the normal stuff. They (the owner claim that it works fine)

    also is this a straight blade?

    A very wise decision and certainly wouldn't hurt. A proper service goes a long was to making a plow reliable and lasting.
