    The config plug is used to configure the common wire for the headlamps either negative or positive, as some trucks use a positive common headlamp system and others use a negative common system. How you configure the plug depends on what you're installing it on.

    Just to add... if you think you hooked everything up right and one light is not on.. this is where to maybe take a first look...
