Started off with a quick push behind a building ... 200 some feet ... dead end ... side hill

    reached end ... stopped

started to back up ... truck started to sidestep down the hill ...

could not go forward snow pile in front ...

every time I tried reverse the truck slides a little farther down the hill ...

When the truck started to get REAL close to a lumber pile I gave up ...

    Called a tow truck ...

Just then a friend showed up with his plow truck and said he would give me a tug backward ...

Just stand up front and watch the lumber pile he said ...

As soon as the chain got tight the front end jumps down the hill ...

    crunch ...

As my friend & I stand there beside the building looking at the crushed fender ...

Ice slides off the roof ...

Nails my friend on the top of his head ...

    big cut & lump ...

So now I have to put a fender on my truck AND have had to promise my friend a * I owe you a 3:am tow no questions * ....

and all this at my fathers place ... a no charge ...

this was all before 9 am ...

Day went downhill from there ...

Not even sure what I was supposed to learn from this ...

    any suggestions?

How about - When things start going wrong - stop and assess the situation? Or "No good deed goes unpunished?"
